Clothing Drive for the Kids

Tiffany Crop and Rachele Stephenson are heading up a clothing drive for the kids.

You can drop off clothing at the Senior Center of Rainier this week and next week.  They will earn $0.25 per pound for used clothing.  Any clothing that's not wearable will go to be shredded for insulation.  Please feel free to bring your bags and boxes of clothing to the Senior Center of Rainier Monday & Wednesday between 10 - 2 PM.  If you're attending a function at the senior center during off hours, please feel free to bring your clothing and leave it in the front room.

Thank you for supporting our kids.

Thank You for Donating to the Olympia Union Gospel Mission!

It all started with one person's idea.  Thank you, Nancy Bay!  Nancy cleaned out her closet and brought in 4 bags of gently used winter clothing for the Rainier Senior Center to donate to the Olympia Union Gospel Mission.

Rosemary Sanders ran with the idea!

Everyone at the Rainier Senior Center sends a special "Thank You" to everyone who donated clothing and other usable items to the Olympia Union Gospel Mission.  In addition to nice, warm winter clothing, we received business suits from someone who recently retired, sleeping bags and back packs, winter coats shoes, socks & new underwear.

We had so many items we filled up the entry way with bags and bags...and more bags.  What a treat for the people who were there to help us unload our vehicles.  (Yes, we overfilled 2 vehicles.  A full sized truck and a station wagon.

Once we arrived at the Olympia Union Gospel Mission,m we had many people help us unload all of the clothing and other items.  We are grateful for everyone's help and donations.  Thank you so much!

August 2017 Lunch Menu

Hi!  Happy Summer...  The sunshine has been beautiful!

Below is a copy of the Rainier Senior Center lunch menu for August 2017.

Remember we have 50 pair of eclipse glasses so we can safely watch the eclipse on August 21st during BINGO.  These will be given out on a "first come, first serve" basis.

We're also having our clothing drive for the Olympia Union Gospel Mission on that day.  Remember to bring in gently used clothing, shoes and coats you no longer want or need.

We'll need volunteers to man the booth during the Bluegrass Festival August 25th & 26th.  If you have any nice items you'd like to donate
to the raffle, contact Rosemary.

Thank you,

Linda & George Johnson

Clothing Drive for the Union Gospel Mission

Please support the Olympia Union Gospel Mission, as they serve people in these difficult times.

On August 21, 2017, The Rainier Senior Center is having a clothing drive for the Olympia Union Gospel Mission.  Please bring gently used clothing to the Rainier Senior Center on August 21st from 10 AM - 2 PM.

Fall will be right around the corner.  Some children are homeless  and they will be heading back to school.  Any warm clothing you can donate will help these families as they prepare for the fall and winter months ahead.

We are located at
108 Michigan Street E
Rainier, WA, 98576.

Call (360) 446-2258, if you have any questions.

They need socks, shirts, sweaters, jackets, jeans, pants, pajamas, jackets, dresses and business attire, for people that are going out on job interviews.

Thank you, in advance, for your thoughtful donations.
