Christmas Stockings for Kids Work Parties

 Dear Seniors & Friends,

Sue Watson is setting up a work group to help make another 100 Christmas Stockings for the kids.  Everyone will meet on November 11th & 13th at the Senior Center of Rainier at 10 AM with sewing machines.   You can attend on either day or both days.

Everyone's help will be greatly appreciated!

Tammy Meyers is putting kits together for everyone and giving us a class on how to sew them.
Then Tammy will finish them for us.

If you know anyone who wants to join us, please invite them to join us.

Sincerely,

Linda Johnson

PS.  Snacks and beverages will be provided by the Senior Center.

Help Wanted at the Rainier Emergency Food Center

I am Phyllis Heinselman of the Rainier Emergency Food Center, located at 11318 Vail Cutoff Rd SE.

I’m reaching out for someone, with computer skills, to volunteer
on Wednesday from 9 AM to Noon.

We are the largest food bank in Thurston County. We serve over 180 families a week from 9:30 AM to Noon every Wednesday and Saturday.  We are here to serve the public and make coming here a pleasant experience for our clients, going through a rough time.

This volunteer position would be sitting at the intake desk and entering the clients information into the computer; tracking their visits and commodity bags.  Where this isn’t a difficult job, it is a demanding one.  If you have time and are that special person who would like to help us please contact Nancy Decker at:

(360) 280-7326 Cell or email her at:  nancyd98576@comcast.net
