 Note:  There is a change in the October lunch Menu.  We will have Chicken Enchiladas instead of Chicken Fried Steak on October 6th.  Thank you for understanding.

September 2021 Lunch Menu

 Note:  There are changes in the September menu.  Victoria Pierce-Cooper will be making her Tuna Casserole instead of Spaghetti on September 27th.

Cooling Shelter in HOT Weather!

Dear Seniors & Friends,

The forecast for the next few days is for HOT weather.  It's projected to be over 90 degrees for the next four days, starting Wednesday.  The Senior Center will be open Wednesday - Saturday from 10 AM - 9 PM during this heat wave.

Please feel free to bring your crocheting, knitting, sewing, or any other craft you choose to occupy your time while you're at the Senior Center.  We have many board games and cards you can play or puzzles to put together.  

Please feel free to join us for snacks, beverages and light meals during these days.  If you want to bring something to share, please feel free to do so.  We'll pick up soda and ice cream for floats.  Let's make this a fun, memorable time at the Senior Center of Rainier!

Rainier Round-up Days Parade Application 2021

Let's Celebrate Rainier 2021!!!

 Everyone is invited to be in the Rainier Round-up Days Parade.  

There is no charge to be in the parade unless you're a politician and are campaining.

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic August 16, 2021

 

Dear Seniors & Friends,

Judie Wang contacted us and asked if we'd provide a safe place to host a free COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.  We met with her today and scheduled a clinic for

August 16th at 1:00 PM in the front room of the Senior Center of Rainier.

They will administer the first shot of the Pfizer vaccine.  The second shot will be administered 3 weeks from the 16th.  Everyone who needs a vaccination is free to come to the Senior Center to get their "poke".

Call for Solar System & Commercial Generator Bids

The Senior Center of Rainier needs bids for a solar system that meets the PSE Green Energy Grant requirements.  

Separate bids need to be made for:

1. solar system
2. stand-by, back up, natural gas generator

We need the bids by August 10th.  These bids need to include installation and materials.

The Senior Center of Rainier started in 1976.  We became a 501-c3 organization in 1977 and moved into our building that year.  We are a  multi-purpose center as well as a designated emergency shelter.  

Many civic groups meet in our building,as well as other private citizens functions, when we're not serving meals.

Anyone bidding on the Solar System & Generator needs to be licensed, bonded and be able to serve commercial buildings.
