Flood of Love Fundraiser

Come Together Rainier to Support Flood Victims!

Tom Arnbrister was moved to hold a fundraiser for the victims of the floods down south.  He talked to people in town and everyone is pulling together to help.  Many people, non-profit groups and businesses have made donations for a Silent Auction.  Others have donated time and food.  Everyone in Rainier is pulling together to help those who are facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives after the floods and hurricanes.  Even the students at Rainier Elementary School are having a Penny Drive.  Any little thing we do, helps.

Rainier Gets a New Painting!

Bob Shaw posted four pictures of the raising of the new painting that was put up on the outside wall of the building that Main Street Cookies is located in.

The pictures were posted with this note:  "Here is a new addition to Rainier!  It is on the North wall of the Main Street Cookie building.  Building owner Mike Emmons has spent numerous hours over the past two years to make this a reality.  Make sure you check this out when driving on 507!"
